Please use the diagram below to identify the components of your garage door opener.

When writing to the professional technician it helps speed diagnosis by using the correct terminology. The above drawing will help identify some of the most common parts of your garage door opener. The different models of garage door openers will use the same terminology even though your particular model may look different.
To speed problem diagnosis, please gather the following information prior to contacting a Genie® technician:

Model Number: The model number is located on either the power head near the mounting bracket, or on the rail near the power head, depending on the type of opener purchased.

Serial Number: The serial number is on a small white sticker which has printed above the number. You will find this sticker on the power head by the light sockets. If you have already installed the lens cover, you will need to open it to see these items.

What type of door do you have? Sectional, one piece (sometimes referred to as a "tilt-up"); wood, steel or vinyl.

How many remote controls do you have?

| 5. |
What is the frequency of your remote controls? The frequency can be found on the back of the remote. You should see "freq" and a number, this number is your frequency. If you cannot read the numbers on the back of the remote control, you can also find them on your receiver.

What problem are you having? Provide the Support Technician with a brief description of the kind of problem you are experiencing. |
